Swapana Sundara Kerala

Swapana Sundara Kerala

‘Swapna Sundara’ project began with an initiative to clean Pathiramanal Island in Alappuzha in 2016. Over 500 Reach World Wide volunteers gathered together and cleared over 8000 KG of waste in an event inaugurated by Shri. P. Thilothaman, Minister of Food and Civil Supplies, Kerala. Thereafter the project has been initiated in Kochi and Trivandrum as ‘Swapna Sundara Kochi’ and Swapna Sundara Trivandrum’. A plastic collection and disposal centre has been initiated in Kottayam as part of the project.

Project Vision
Our vision is to create an awareness on responsible waste disposal across Kerala by 2020. In the coming three years our goal is to launch ‘Swapna Sundara’ initiative in all the 14 districts of Kerala.
Project initiatives include, environmental awareness, promoting plastic alternatives, awareness of waste disposal and recycling.
